High-tech Industry

In 2003, Beijing's high-tech industry generated an added value of 31.41 billion yuan, a 7.1 percent annual increase. This figure accounts for 30.9 percent of Beijing's total industrial added value. The production value of the high-tech industry accounted for 8.7 percent of Beijing's GDP, and this amounted to 27.6 percent of Beijing's total production value.
