Beijing is endowed with abundant tourist attractions. More than 300 tourist sites, some of them the most famed in the world, are open to visitors. There are 648 tourist hotels, including 652 star-rated hotels, which offer more than 100,000 guest rooms to suit almost any traveller's taste. About 100 more star-rated hotels will be built before the Olympic Games open in August 2008. About 456 travel agencies operate in Beijing, employing more than 5,000 tourist guides, who speak at least 21 languages.
