Today you can travel certain places by water in Beijing. So far, two watercourses are offered: Changhe and Kunyuhe. In addition, there are tourist boats available, such as Shichahai. Kunyu Course (Yuyuantan Lake - Kunming Lake)The course runs 10 kms, passing CCTV (China Central Television Station) Tower, Binyuyuan Dock, and the pagoda at the Yong'an Temple. The boat starts from Yuyuantan Lake on the hour from 8am to 4pm. The charge is 40 yuan per adult. The 10-kms course, running from Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace to Beizhanhouhu Lake travels through the Zoo, Beijing Aquarium, Zhenjue Temple, the National Library, Purple Bamboo Park, Wanshou Temple and Maizhong Bridge. The boat starts from Beizhanhou Hu each hour from late spring to early autumn. The charge is 40 yuan per adult.
