China's GDP (gross domestic product) increased by 11.5 percent in the first nine months of 2007 year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Trade between China and Russia surged to US$34.9 billion during the first nine months of 2007, an increase of 42 percent over the same period in 2006, according to the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.

Chinese automakers sold 940,300 domestic-branded cars during the first three quarters of 2007, accounting for 27 percent of the country's total car sales, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
