Tianjin Sewage Disposal Rate

After two years of closely monitored construction, the Tianjin Jizhuangzi Sewage Treatment Factory expansion project and the Xianyang Road Sewage Treatment Factory, representing a total investment of 1.71 billion yuan, were completed on December 30, 2004. Both were put into trial operation and began accepting sewage water input.

The sewage treatment capacity of Tianjin has increased to 1.39 million tons per day from 660,000 tons per day. About 920,000 tons of sewage wastes are now treated daily, with rates improving to 70 percent from 43 percent.
