Ten Olympic Franchise Stores to Open in Beijing

Ten retail shops offering franchised Olympic products are expected to open in Beijing soon.

The openings amount to a trial operation of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee's official Olympic-products retail programmeme. Such goods may be sold legally in stores authorized by the committee only.

The 200-300 Olympic products available upon opening will include clothing, stationery, handicrafts, badges, but as many as 10,000 different products are expected to be added to the line-up in the fullness of time.

Counterfeiting of Olympic franchised products is not expected to be tolerated, and special anti-counterfeiting technologies will be used in all the retail outlets to ensure the quality and authenticity of the goods sold.
