Beijing Becomes Siemens Mobile Design Centre
2004/07/15
World cell-phone giant Siemens plans to turn its Beijing
research and development centre into a design centre.
A manager of the company's Beijing subsidiary said all new
models would be developed in the Chinese capital.
More than 400 jobs will be created, with 10 percent to 20
percent of the vacancies offered to new graduates.
Siemens says it will form a "wisdom Database" with more than
600 researchers before September. The design centre will be the
biggest owned by an international company in China.
