Environmentally Friendly Plastic Bags at Carrefour

Carrefour in Beijing's Zhongguancun area has begun to distribute environmentally friendly plastic bags.

Incredibly, if the plastic bags consumed every year in the world were tied together they could be used to circle the earth at least 50 times. So Carrefour is doing its part by distributing plastic bags that can be recycled, re-used and are allowed to degrade.

Unfortunately the quantity of the bags is limited to 500 per day because present demand for the bags exceeds supply.
