Police helicopters for Beijing 2008

Several of the world's leading helicopter manufacturers have recently visited Beijing in an attempt to capitalise on the Beijing Public Security Bureau's stated need for an airborne unit to support a safe 2008 Games. A spokesman for Beijing's PSB, Zhao Feng said that the bureau has not yet decided on which make, model or number of aircraft will be purchased. Expert observers of the Ministry of Public Security have predicted that China will need about 30 police helicopters in the next few years.
