Strong Intellectual Property Protection Pledged for Logo

During 2002 and 2003, the Beijing Administration of Industry and Commerce accepted 144 cases concerning infringements on the Beijing 2008 emblem and logo. In charge of the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Bureau, Liu Dongwei, promised overall protection for intellectual property at a press conference called by the city government s Information Office.
