Foreign Volunteers Welcome at English Corner

Organized by Beijing Speaks Foreign Languages Programme Organizing Committee Office, the Fourth Garden Party for English-lovers among Beijing citizens will begin on Oct. 15 at the Beijing Working People’s Palace. The event will showcase the progress of “Beijing Citizens Speaking English” in recent years. Partygoers will enjoy a host of activities, including the English Corner, lectures conducted by foreign-language professionals, and an exhibition on foreign-language books. Hosts of the event will hand out free copies of “Manual on Citizens Speaking English”.

 

As a volunteer, you will be able to meet with people from all walks of life in Beijing, exchange with the locals who know Beijing best. Come and help us celebrate this annual event for people who speak and love the English language.

由北京市民讲外语活动组委会主办的“第四届北京市民讲外语游园会”将于10月15日、16日（9：00－16：00）在北京劳动人民文化宫内举办。届时将推出包括全市讲外语活动成果展、外语专家讲座、系列外语大赛获奖人员汇报演出、外语节目文艺汇演、外语教育机构及留学中介机构义务咨询、外语类图书展览、家庭生活英语大赛、外语游戏和《市民讲英语手册》免费发放等一系列的活动。

 

同时组委会还将在文化宫内开辟一处外语角，为市民们提供一个可以用外语自由交流的场所。为了创造一个更好的语言交流环境、现招募有兴趣从事志愿工作的外籍人士加入到外语角的工作中来。
