A charitable activity: "Together, Let's Build the Public Education Library, with Love" was held at the Ascott International on August 2,2005. The event was sponsored by Beijing This Month Publications, Ascott International Management（Beijing）, Radio 774 and the Chinese Literature Fund. About 120 people from various field participated in this fund-raising effort. This event was initiated by the famed Chinese writer Ji Xianlin and 55 other writers and was just one effort on the part of the Education Library Project launched in May 2004 that aims to help poor children in West China.

"携手献爱心共建育才图书室"慈善活动于2005年8月2日下午3点在北京雅诗阁服务式公寓二层香芷阁多功能厅举行。本次活动由北京月讯杂志社、雅诗阁国际管理(北京)、774英语广播以及中华文学基金会共同主办。120余名社会各界人士共同参与了这次慈善捐款活动。该工程的目的是为中国西部的贫困儿童建设"育才图书室"，为他们的成长贡献力量
