UNION Bar & Grille: Authentic American Flavour in Sanlitun

      The Sanlitun area is hardly lacking in tempting cuisines to sample and savour; still, you can now add a new name to your dining list in this area, the American-style UNION Bar & Grille.

      But UNION Bar & Grille offers more than the meat and potatoes or fried chicken of stereotypical American cuisine; instead it offers the modern diversity found in a new American cuisine that owes its existence to the United States’ colourful history of adopting special culinary characteristics of the various cultures that make up the US population and adapting them to local tastes.

      In this fashion, UNION offers guests a taste of American cuisine’s rich diversity using the best of what Beijing has to offer. Flavours are enhanced by using only fresh local produce combined with imported specialties such as Australian beef and Mongolian prime rib. Combining the best of all ingredients, UNION carefully crafts its dishes in the classic American style.

      All recipes have been created and perfected by the UNION’s chefs, making full use of their international and locally derived culinary skills. The menu offers genuine American favourites such as tangy barbecued baby-back ribs tenderly slow cooked, fresh sautéed sea bass and char-grilled rib-eye steaks. Of course, there are standards, such as the Ultimate Gourmet Burger, which can be customized with smoked bacon or sautéed mushrooms. For diners craving lighter fare, UNION offers crisp salads and savoury appetizers in both full and half portions.

      Celebrating UNION’s premiere location in the capital city, the Chinese culinary team has developed a special menu of some favourite Asian recipes such as yuxiang wok-fried pork with rice and green pepper beefsteak so that the diverse tastes of every customer can be satisfied.

      UNION’s impressive drink selection was specially selected to complement its cuisine and can also be enjoyed on its own at the comfortable bar. Beer offerings include American favourites such as Brooklyn Lager and the Kona Big Wave Golden Ale. UNION has amassed a strong selection of wines from various regions across the Americas as well as the rest of the world. Guests can match their wines of choice with their dishes easily, with many brands offered by the glass and half-bottle.

      In summer, they also provide outdoor seats for guest to enjoy their wonderful meals in an open space.
