South Beauty Launches "Olympic Courses"
2008/04/01
Chinese cuisine seeks perfection not only in the colour, flavour and taste of a dish, but also in their visual appeal and auspicious connotations. This is well reflected in the “Olympic courses” recently launched by the South Beauty restaurant.
The five-ring symbol of Olympics and emblem of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games are borrowed in the design of Olympic-featured courses, but dining habits are also taken into consideration. The “mutton fondue” combines the widely appreciated cheese fondue of Switzerland and the traditional Beijing hotpot in a new creation with a taste of its own.
“We have launched Olympic courses to express our enthusiasm and good wishes for the Beijing Olympic Games,” said Catherine Du, director of the Corporate Communication Department of South Beauty Group. “We want to have more international guests appreciate the rich culture in Chinese cuisine.”
In addition to preparing for providing clean, nutritious and delicious food during the 2008 Olympic Games in its role as an official Olympic caterer, South Beauty will continue to launch a series of Olympic-featured courses every month.
