Backed by the Qingdao Municipal Government and under the auspices of the Sailing Committee of the 29th Olympic Games, Celebration China is scheduled to coincide with the Chinese Labour Day holiday. The multi-faceted event, expected to attract more than one million visitors to this historic “Sailing City” of China. The festival will feature five major activities: World Match Racing Tour Exhibition Races, featuring America's Cup skippers; an Extreme Sports Event, headlining top athletes from the world of skateboarding, BMX biking, inline vert and freestyle motocross; a Fashion Show with a Music Extravaganza, starring a host of Chinese and international talent; an International Wine Pavilion, offering fine wines from around the world; and Art Exhibition, presenting the works of innovative Chinese artists.

Capstone Global has been appointed by the Qingdao Municipal Government as the official event and sponsorship coordinator.

Michael Scordino, Celebration China Spokes-person and CEO of Capstone Global Limited said: “The countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympics has begun, and the significance of this pre-Olympiad celebration in China is not to be underestimated. With full backing from the Qingdao Municipal Government, this combination of international and Chinese cultural and sports exhibitions is expected to draw substantial business and consumer interest.

Rapid socio-economic deve-lopment and an increase in consumer opportunities in China have been well documented. With this showcase, China is opening its doors to international business. It will give a new impetus to international trade with China and will highlight what Qingdao has to offer.”
