Fanghua: Top Choice of Pearls

2007/11/01

Since Fanghua opened it first store at Grand Hyatt Hotel near Beijing's Wangfujing Street in January 2005, the luxury pearl brand has expanded its offerings to two new stores, opening in August 2007 in prime Beijing locations: at the Shangri-La Hotel and the China World Hotel. In October 2007, three new stores opened: in Xi'an's Hyatt Regency Hotel, Sheraton Hotel and in the Shangri-La Golden Flower Hotel.

Fanghua is a brand of which dreams are made. Since its founding in the 1980s, Fanghua has been creating jewellery and pearls with a most magnificent and enduring style.

A chance visit to a Fanghua shop in 1995 by Margaret Thatcher gave Fanghua a priceless opportunity to upgrade its brand's repute.

Fanghua's flagship stores expanded to 1,000-square-metres in floor space in 1998; the store began heading in the direction of becoming an international jewellery brand. In 2000, Fanghua opened its first flagship store in Shanghai and later opened two other stores there. Then, Fanghua decided that as a pearl brand it should operate stores in prime five-star hotels in tourism cities frequented by foreign tourists only. It plans to expand prudently, where quality, not speed, is the top priority.

The Fanghua pearl shop is now visited by respectful guests from around the world, because of its exquisite style, high quality pearls and superior service. Because of years of hard work, the brand's shops have been visited by more than 120 important governmental leaders and business celebrities, including former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Finnish President Tarja Halonen, Ludmila Putin, wife of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Cherie Booth, wife of the UK's Tony Blair and former US President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush.

Fanghua owns 20 stores located in Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai, and it has become a preferred brand when foreign guests purchase pearls in China. From the beginning, Fanghua has always integrated the essence of the traditional Chinese culture with the culture of pearls, figures, nobility, luxury, elegance and decorousness. Its ornamentation is full of oriental style and appeal. Fanghua, finally, is serving as an unforgettable vehicle for popularizing the Chinese pearl culture to the world.

As the old Chinese saying goes, the "armour and glory" of Fanghua will last for 100 generations.
