Bank Club: A Club with Feng Shui
2007/07/31
In China in antiquity, feng shui was used to select the living places for emperors because it was believed that feng shui brought fortune and fended off bad luck. The emperors’ palaces were also exemplars of splendid and majestic architecture. The Bank Club, built by the water and surrounded by high walls, shares all of these characteristics.
The Bank Club has three floors joined with a huge supporting pillar. Looking up from the underground floor, you will feel like you are in the midst of an imperial palace. The deep red colour scheme here lends the club a dignified and sombre tone, and sometimes even a suffocating atmosphere. I guess no one dares to stay here alone if there is no music, no DJ and no other clubbers.
In a night club, the beautiful people always draw more attention than decoration. Though the Bank Club has been open just for two months, it is a favourite of people with similar tastes, nice costumes and noble style in keeping with the latest fashions. Perhaps because of its founders, celebrities in China’s fashion circles, the club is frequented by models and some stars whose presence always gets the attention of more mundane customers.
The most luxurious part of Bank Club is its compartments, which come in various designs. They perfectly blend ancient Chinese architectural factors with the European of the Middle Ages. You can curl up on a vast couch enclosed with curtains or sit in a rocking chair near the fireplace, whatever, each compartment brings you different amazing experience.
