Most Beautiful Villages Cited     

 

Ten villages were selected by 1.58 million voters as the “top-ten most beautiful villages” in Beijing in online voting that ended on February 2.

The selection process was a promotion of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Rural Affairs, the Beijing Municipal Tourism Administration and Beijing Television.

Thirty-nine villages were included in the vote that began in July 2006. Each publicized its features in industrial development, ecological construction, environmental affairs and human culture.

Voters picked Gaobeidian, Chaoyang District; Zhenggezhuang, Changping District; Beilangzhong, Shunyi District; Longjushan, Yanqing County; Nanhe, Fangshan District; Chadao, Yanqing County; Caoqiao, Fengtai District; Mayufang, Changping District; Jiangjunguan, Pinggu District; and Nanjuan in Shunyi District as their favourites.
