ARENA Club for Young

2007/02/28

Down to the B1 floor of The Place in Guanghua Lu, ARENA aims at clubbers across the city aged 18–35. This 900-square-metre club promises “everything you need to enjoy in the place.” One of the biggest attractions about the place is its large dance floor which stretches out like a T-stage, where the most “in” people in town can dance like superstars. It is more valuable given the background that more and more clubs in Beijing have chosen to pare their dance floors to make more money from added seats.

Another strong point is the funky house beats of resident DJ Edmund, who is well-know for crafting beats in Taipei and now trying to convert the masses and deliver a totally fresh dance experience in Beijing. ARENA’s music policy incorporates R&B, hip-hop and scratch for Monday, while electro house and breakbeats take over the decks on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

For alcohol-lovers, take advantage of the “All you can drink” on house pour and beer for 99 yuan every day of the week. Free cocktails are provided for ladies on Wednesday.

This heavy-duty dance club is the reality dream up by Taiwan artist Patrick Lee, who is determined to launch series of youth-oriented style parties and shock the clubbing scene in Beijing.
