Walk Commemorates Man's Wife

A 51-year-old American has visited 26 Chinese cities on foot, donating 500 yuan (US$64) to the Red Cross in each city. John Roland, said he’s used up 19 pairs of shoes and 13 pairs of jeans during his epic walk. He began his walk across China a year ago after his wife died, because she asked him to do so in her will. Roland first came to China in 1996 with his wife.
