Dogs Flummoxed by Special Toilets

2007/01/08

Four small toilets designed for pets have been installed in the Qinghe Garden community in Beijing’s Haidian District, but local dogs have yet to figure out how to use them. The designer of the doggie toilets said she created the toilets for the convenience of residents and also for the sake of the local environment. A local woman said she welcomed the installation of the toilets and no longer had to carry a bag for her dog’s faeces when she took it for a walk. But local pet owners are having trouble getting their dogs to use the toilets. They said they would train their pets to use them.
