The Fourth Beijing International Dance Festival to Kick Off

As one of the three annual large-scale cultural festivals sponsored by Beijing Municipality, The Fourth Beijing International Dance Festival will kick off in December. The other two cultural festivals are Beijing International Drama Festival and Beijing International Symphony Festival.

Since 2003, Beijing International Dance Festival has been held from December to January. Dance ensembles from around the globe and different parts of China all together provide a feast for dance enthusiasts. According to Beijing Cultural Festivals Organizing Committee, the organizer of the festivals, the most striking performance of this year’s dance festival is Night of the Sultans.

Remarked as “magnificent and magic” by America Today, it is a fabulous mix of both eastern and western dance and music. It carries audiences into the mythology in Mesopotamia of Central Asia, in the realm of the gods. About 70 excellent dancers from Europe and Asia create a dazzling scene on the stage with over 500 sets of costumes. America’s most famous entertainment programmes producer Marcel Avram acts as the Executive Producer, who has cooperated with Michael Jackson, U2, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones and Prince, Barbra Streisand and Placido Domingo.
