Gongti Ximen seems always ready to spring a new surprise for us. Who would have ever thought the place would become the hottest nightspot in Beijing, defeating competitors like Sanlitun and Houhai? But there are more surprises in store.

On April 10, 2006, another well-known nightclub brand, Banana, will join the fray at Gongti Ximen with its branch club, Coco Banana. Its location, No. 8, Gongti Xilu will occupy a six-floor building. The first and sixth floors will serve the nightclub, while the other four floors will be used by restaurants offering the cuisines of China's Guizhou Province and India and high-grade hot pot dishes.
