Community Health-care System for Urbanites under Construction

China, in 1999, began a decade-long revitalization of its
community-based health-care systems. The goal is to provide
convenient, economical and suitable medical services for urban
residents. The massive plan, initiated by the Ministry of
Health (MOH), has won governmental and non-governmental
backing. Motherland Shenzhen, the China affiliate of Motherland
Global, an international leader in health-care marketing, has
long sponsored this plan that includes free health consultancy
services in communities, nationwide touring lectures and a
special report on health education given on October 22 at the
Great Hall of the People. The report was presented by China's
No. 1 health-care expert Hong Zhaoguang in honour of the 10th
anniversary of the China Elderly Health Care Association.
