Top 10 Tips for Men’s Skin-care

2005/11/03

1. As people sweat a lot in summer, autumn and winter is the time to treat hardened or calloused skin (keratosis).

2. To prevent outdoor pollution and the radiation from computers, special skin creams for this purpose are indispensable.

3. Suntan oil should not be put away with the end of summer; it has its uses in winter too, especially when the sun comes out after it snows when reflected sunshine may hurt the skin.

4. Wash your face with warm water under 30ºC, and do not steam the face often, as hot steam does nothing to help the skin at this season.

5. Because Beijing is dry in the winter, people must drink more water and eat more fruit and vegetables, particularly those rich in Vitamin C. A humidifier is useful both at home and in the office. If possible, "essential oil" and roses put in the humidifier can raise one's spirit and are good for health.

6. Take better care of your eyes. The skin around the eyes is the most sensitive on a body. Wrinkles around the eyes are likely to appear during the dry season.

7. Do not eat spicy, oily foods and seafood. Try to reduce your workload; do not keep working until midnight.

8. When bathing, add some bath salts or essential oil to the water to reduce skin dryness.

9. Use mild facial washes and skin cream instead of oily ones.

10. The lips are another part of the body that often easy neglected, but they require special care. Lipsticks or glosses are essential for everyone, especially those on regular business trips.
