Qingdao Olympic Media centre Opens

A delegation of journalists from Beijing was among those who helped celebrate the opening of the new Qingdao Olympic Media Centre (Qingdao Subcenter).

A flurry of fireworks punctuated the opening led by Cai Lunbin, deputy secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) Qingdao Municipal Committee and attended by Qingdao Vice-Mayor Zang Aimin, executive vice-chairman of the Sailing Committee (Qingdao) of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (sailing committee), Wang Hui, director of the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal Government, Sun Lijie, secretary-general of the sailing committee, and Zhao Jingqing, deputy director of the Beijing Olympic Media Centre in Beijing, among others.

Cai said, "Like Beijing, we will also follow the three principles of 'Green Olympics, High-tech Olympics and People's Olympics.' We will take this great opportunity to hold a high-level Olympic sailing competition with excellent organization and mass participation."
