Lemon Leaf Refreshes City Diners

2005/10/01

Lemon leaves, one of main ingredients in Thai dishes, are enchanting with a unique flavour unimaginable to many Chinese. The name of the restaurant emphasizes this unique flavour.

The inside has a dark tone, dim lights and golden bamboo screens. The design and aroma is like that of a lemon grove in Thailand, far from the heaving masses of the capital city.

Lemon Leaf's best dishes are the fresh seafood, such a refreshing change from the oil and soy of Chinese cuisine. We recommend sour and spicy shrimp: A large, succulent shrimp lies on a bed of lettuce leafs and vanilla roots, bathed in a sauce combining, among others, smashed peppers, garlic, sugar and lemon.
