Are You Ready to “Scratch”

Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready for the upcoming "scratch" party? D-Styles, one of the best DJs in the world is bringing his wonderful scratch performance to China. Born in the Philippines and raised in the Bay Area of California, D-Styles was first known as Dave Cuasito. At age 15, he was mixing at parties and school dances. In 1996, D-Styles asked to join the group Invisibl Skratch Piklz (ISP), which is revered by scratch fans around the world and is featured on countless magazine covers. Between 1997 and 2001, D-Styles toured with ISP and performed in various countries. He said time spent with the group broadened his mind to the potential of scratch music.

Phantazmagorea, released by Beat Junkie Sound on Halloween 2002, is the most acclaimed work of D-Styles to date. In this highly anticipated solo album, a collection of songs composed entirely from scratching, Styles proved that he is a man of his word. At the release party, the much-publicized "D-Styles Sextet"(consisting of D-Styles along the Beat Junkies) performed live renditions of D-Styles' songs set to visual imagery resulting in one of the most unique and unforgettable scratch shows to date.
