争奇斗艳·民族风

Minorities' Variety Show

中国歌舞团将通过树立全新的艺术理念，隆重推出一台综合中华大地56 个民族经典歌舞的大型文艺演出，同时打响2005年"相约北京"联欢活动的第一炮。

中国歌舞团在保持以往优势的基础上，对节目进行全新的艺术加工和整体包装，运用具有现代感的音乐、舞蹈、灯光、舞美、服饰等综合艺术手段，打造出洋溢着浓郁的民族特色、充满现代时尚气息并极具观赏性的歌舞晚会，从而让中国的优秀民族文化不仅在中国的舞台上熠熠生辉，更将走上世界的艺术舞台，焕发出中国艺术更加绚丽的新光彩。

《争奇斗艳·民族风》不仅收纳了半个多世纪以来，中国各个不同历史时期、各个不同民族的精华歌舞节目，同时又重新编创了一些洋溢激情、充满个性、时尚好看的民族歌舞节目。观众既可以欣赏到令人耳目一新、现代摇滚版的开场歌舞《东方红》，也可以看到融汇民族舞蹈精华的《争奇斗艳》；既有高亢嘹亮的《青藏高原》、激昂有力的《打虎上山》，也有时尚流行的《两只蝴蝶》、妩媚温柔的《好梦在丽江》、靓丽青春的《动感山歌》；既有柔美动人、赏心悦目的《年年有余》，强悍激情的《草原劲风》，也有朴实美妙的《苗女踢踏》、佤族现代土风舞《火中之恋》、西域风情舞蹈《紫色玫瑰》……

此外，中国歌舞团还将推出两组各具特色的民族器乐组合，一组是器乐演奏和女子舞蹈相结合的"红组合"--《神秘西部》，另一组是与踢踏舞表演相结合的"三加一"乐队演奏--《音乐之旅》。

This includes award-winning renditions by the highly versatile China National Song and Dance Ensemble, including the special characteristics that mark all minority groups. A main highlight will be China's most famous musical, The East Is Red, daringly presented rock 'n' roll style in a modern setting with costumes to match. In addition will be performances combining minority instruments and women's dance, and a tap-dance presentation, the latter a comparatively new dance form in China.

罗密欧与朱丽叶

Romeo and Juliet Ballet

昂热兰·普蕾罗卡堪称当今法国芭蕾的一位奇才。1984年，普蕾罗卡以自己的姓氏命名并成立了普蕾罗卡公司。1989年，荣列法国"国立舞蹈中心"之一。 1996年，更名为普蕾罗卡芭蕾舞团（Ballet Preljocaj）。该团现有24名舞蹈演员。自成立至今，普蕾罗卡先生已经创作了30部舞蹈作品。

1990年，普蕾罗卡为里昂歌剧院芭蕾舞团潜心重拍芭蕾经典《罗密欧与朱丽叶》。他保留了莎翁笔下《罗密欧与朱丽叶》的主要故事情节，但将这个传世的爱情故事的发生地变成了在一个在东欧的集权国家。朱丽叶是当地独裁统治者的女儿，而罗密欧和他的朋友则生活在一个被主流所唾弃的边缘团体中。为了见面，两个年轻人在朱丽叶住的城墙下挖了一个小洞。每天晚上，两个年轻人冒着被城墙边巡逻的士兵发现的危险，趴在洞口倾诉彼此的爱意。罗密欧与朱丽叶为了摆脱世俗的偏见，最后不得不用死亡来证明自己的爱情。

正逢法国文化年，此次演出已被列入文化年重点项目。

The famous love drama to be performed at the festival is a signature creation by  French-Albanian choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, who in 1984 also founded a ballet troupe under his own name. The performance is set to Prokofiev's dramatic score, retelling the familiar Shakespeare tale whose backdrop is a dictatorship bearing a resemblance to the communist states of eastern Europe that followed in later centuries. Rather than due to family conflict, the lovers are separated by class distinction and a militia which protects the "haves" from the "have-nots".

Today, Ballet Preljocaj has 22 dancers. In the past decade, Angelin Preljocaj has choreographed more than 20 ballets, seven of which are currently part of his company's repertoire. These ballets range from duos to 12 or more dancers. Over the years, Preljocaj has earned continually increasing international respect.

伊娃

Eva

伊娃生于1970年，12岁开始学习舞蹈，师从多位佛拉明哥舞蹈名家。在与几个舞蹈团合作过之后，她于1990年开始了自己的独舞演出，并先后与许多著名的佛拉明哥舞蹈家合作过。1998年，作为舞蹈演员和舞蹈编排，她开始与西班牙国家芭蕾舞团（Ballet Nacional de España）合作。另外她还成立了自己的舞蹈公司，推出了她的第一部整剧制作《伊娃》。

这部演出完美地结合了歌曲、音乐和舞蹈，从而带领观众踏上欣赏最著名的几种佛拉明哥舞蹈形式的旅程。《伊娃》的第一段独舞granaína表现了一个受传统女性思想束缚的女人的压抑的情感。她的舞蹈服装是一件曳长的覆盖下半身的紧身衣，突出了这种束缚。下一段独舞是佛拉明哥舞蹈形式中最主要soleá，抒发了一个女人在寻找独立的过程中的压抑、恐惧和愤怒。这个梦的结束是以群舞演出佛拉明哥舞蹈最传统的舞蹈形式tangos，表现了舞者刚获得的自由和独立。梦的结束，舞者重新睡去，进入未来世界的神秘和不测。

Ballet-Dance Magazine is on record with, "One of flamenco's most popular stars, Eva Yerbabuena, is a [performer] of traditional sensibilities who is nevertheless still seeking out new paths for flamenco to tread. She does not espouse the showy cabaret style of flamenco, which is often as much about the pretty costumes and painted fans as it is about the dancing. 

"Instead, her style is more austere, though theatrical, and it rides the edge between tablao and performance art."

Her eponymous creation, Eva, depicts how a depressed, scared and angry female searches for her independence and showcases all the famous forms of flamenco.

韩国国家芭蕾舞团

Korea National Ballet

韩国国家芭蕾舞团成立于1962年，是韩国成立时间最早，地位最高，而且艺术水平最高的芭蕾舞团。在芭蕾舞团的历史发展中，该团致力于兼顾古典与现代芭蕾共同发展，因此受到韩国人民的欢迎。

近几年，通过全新的"解说芭蕾"的表演方式，韩国国家芭蕾舞团巩固了自己的地位，亦通过邀请Yuri Grigorovich和Jean-Christophe Maillot等国际级大师合作，提高该团舞蹈演员的水平。

Since its formation in 1962, the Korea National Ballet Company (KNBC) has led the country's ballet world, annually staging about 80 performances and drawing upon the 30 productions in its repertoire. Among these is Petipa-Ivanov's full version of Swan Lake, which will be staged at the Beijing festival.

KNBC has in recent years considerably broadened Koreans' enthusiasm for ballet by expanding new-concept public programs, Ballet with Commentary being just one public-friendly example. Simultaneously, by teaming with famed choreographers such as Jean-Christophe Maillot and Yuri Grigorovich, the company has upgraded its managerial and performance standards, and now showcases star Korean ballet dancers.

The Art of Unfolding

中国是世界上发展速度最快的国家之一，而且是文化遗产最丰富的国家之一，其文化渊源是别的国家无法相提并论的。当来自丹麦的艺术家们面对着中国古代国画和极富表现力的舞蹈，又拥有了最先进的影像技术时，他们构思出了一个前所未有的大胆实践：用影像的手段诠释古代中国画的每一个细节及无以伦比的美，展现中国艺术硕果累累的艺术成就。因此，音乐和影像这两方面构成了《乐·色》的框架。这里必须强调的是参加北京演出的不仅仅是阿萨莱斯的音乐家，还有丹麦和中国两国的演奏家共同组成的室内乐团。

阿萨莱斯室内乐团是1990 年由一群年轻的哥本哈根音乐家和作曲家组建的。他们将自己定位为丹麦室内乐团的先锋，尤其是在创作音乐领域，该团无疑是丹麦最前沿的室内乐团。阿萨莱斯始终保持与当今作曲家合作的传统，拥有五十多首新作品的优先演奏权。

Athelas Sinfonietta Copenhagen is in every sense a barrier-breaking ensemble mediating contemporary music at the highest traditional and modern levels. With great enthusiasm, everybody within or close to the ensemble becomes a "mouthpiece" for the avant-garde through innovative projects that overcome aesthetic limitations and physical boundaries.

According to critics, having won its spurs as an "indispensable voice in contemporary music", Athelas has long been established as a leading Danish sinfonietta and the nation's foremost new music ensemble.

Author of The Art of Unfolding, Chicago-born Maurice Weddington has gained fame as a composer in Europe, one of his themes being the search for the relationships and similarities between the eye and ear. He grouped six structurally related pieces, composed over the last 23 years, under the rubric The Art of Unfolding, a suite whose concept includes modern Chinese dance and films of Ming Dynasty scroll paintings - a one-ness of various art forms across time and place.

Weddington said, "Beyond my ever-growing fascination with ancient Chinese art, particularly that of the Ming Dynasty, this series aims to simultaneously manifest various cohesive artistic elements, pay tribute to the binding unity that exists between vastly different cultures, and provide a very broad spectrum of artistic disciplines for an audience of divergent artistic interests via unified interactions of Oriental and Occidental art forms that span more than half a millennium."

丹麦国家交响乐团

Danish National Symphony Orchestra

建立于1925年的丹麦国家交响乐团是丹麦最大最著名的交响乐团，也是世界上最老的广播交响乐团之一。作为丹麦的国家交响乐团，该团经常在国内外举行巡演。他们将在此次"相约北京"联欢活动上进行闭幕演出。

Fritz Busch和俄罗斯人Nikolai Malko，两位传奇的指挥建立了丹麦国家交响乐团。此后，乐团先后与二十世纪的许多伟大作曲家、独奏家和指挥合作过。

此次闭幕演出的重点曲目是《凤凰》，而此曲的作者则是一位国人非常熟悉的作曲家--盛宗亮。

《凤凰》是的灵感源于安徒生的短片童话，是盛宗亮专门做给女高音Jane Eaglen、西雅图交响乐团和丹麦国家交响乐团的，灵感来源于安徒生的童话《不死鸟》。2004年2月5日，作品在西雅图首演。

"凤凰"是浴伊甸园之火而生的不死鸟。据说，它筑巢在阿拉伯，每一世纪末，它就引火焚巢，将自己烧死在巢中。但，另一只不死鸟总会由火焰中诞生，尾翼拖着灿烂的光芒，飞向天际。斑斓的五彩羽毛和天籁的歌声亘古不变。

对下一代音乐爱好者的培养也是丹麦国家交响乐团的一大特点。该团与丹麦儿童频道的著名人物Sigurd Barret合作，邀请家长和孩子们参加专门的儿童音乐会，并且制作了一系列成功的电视节目来介绍该团和其乐器等。现在，他们把这样的音乐会带到了中国。在儿童节这天，丹麦国家交响乐团还将与丹麦著名钢琴家、作曲家Sigurd Barrett、演员六小龄童、CCTV 女子合唱团一起为中国小朋友献上一场儿童音乐会。

小观众们将在音乐会上欣赏到经过Sigurd Barrett诠释的古典名曲片段，如《胡桃夹子》、贝多芬的进行曲；丹麦、中国的民歌儿歌；各种乐器的独奏；两位主持人现场用中文和丹麦文朗诵的安徒生童话；甚至还有特地为北京小朋友准备的乐器"奥运会"哦！除此之外，两位主持人妙语横生、风趣幽默的介绍不仅为演出锦上添花，更可以让小朋友们增长许多关于古典音乐方面的见闻。

Founded in 1925, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra (DNSO) is Denmark's biggest and best-known orchestra of its kind, and one of the world's oldest radio symphony orchestras. In its early years it was built up by two legendary conductors, Fritz Busch and Russian Nikolai Malko. Over the years, the orchestra has also collaborated with some of the 20th century's greatest composers, soloists and conductors.

At the closing ceremony of "Meet in Beijing", the orchestra will contribute to the 200th birthday anniversary of author Hans Christian Andersen with a number of activities, including a performance of Phoenix, composed by Bright Sheng and adapted from Andersen's fairy tale of the same name.

Education of the new generation of music lovers also plays an important role in the life of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. In collaboration with Sigurd Barret, a children's TV favourite in Denmark, the orchestra invites small children and their parents and grandparents to special children's concerts, examples of which will also be staged in Beijing on June 1, Children's Day.
