Cool Kebabs

The inappropriately named Cool Bake is a Central-Asian style barbecue restaurant close to the Drum Tower. It features a wide range of meat and vegetable shashlik, plus specialties from China's Muslim communities such as barbecued tendons. The restaurant also features a variant of the Chinese hotpot, in which skewered vegetables are boiled at the table by diners themselves.

The restaurant is delicately decorated in a fusion style, without the smoky atmosphere of most barbecue restaurants. Tableware is characteristic as well: all the plates are square, for example.
