Beijing Inaugurates Olympic Press Centre

The Beijing Olympic Press Centre was inaugurated on November1 at the Huabei Hotel in China's capital city. The Olympic Press Centre is jointly operated by BOCOG's Media and Communication Department and the Information Office of the Beijing Municipal Government. It will provide packaged services to overseas and domestic media for their coverage of BOCOG's preparatory work as well as other tasks undertaken by municipal governmental agencies.
Regular press conferences and media briefings will be held at the centre to ensure the authoritative and systematic release of the Olympics-specific  information. The centre will also organize social gatherings and cultural activities for domestic and overseas journalists.
