Open House for "International People"

2004/07/01

Beijing Zhonguancun International School, the first international school run by Chinese, hosted an Open House on campus on May 29, 2004.  Parents and others concerned about education in China participated in the event. It provided a great opportunity for people to share their thoughts and ideas on how to provide the best international educational practices for children. All the guests took part in pre-school classes, senior classes, English-intensification classes and Chinese classes. They were amazed at the children's fluency in English and marvelled at their art works and compositions.

Located in the centre of the Zhongguancun Science Park, Beijing Zhonguancun International School is committed to serving the needs of returning Chinese families from overseas as well as the international community. It adopts America's most popular and effective teaching materials and methods. Highly qualified and experienced teachers recruited from native English-speaking countries strive to create a happy learning environment for children and to help them develop their full potential. The school has uniquely designed English as Second Language programme that aims to help students who are non-native English speakers. The school offers Chinese language and culture programmes, which are expected to help students learn more about the Chinese language and its rich cultural content. In order to support children of returning Chinese professionals from overseas and foreign experts working in China, BZIS offers them special tuition scholarships.
