Garden at Shangri-La

2004/07/01
By Hellen Zhou

The first phase of a renovation programme was unveiled at the Shangri-La Hotel in June with the opening of its new Garden @ The Shangri-La garden terrace restaurant, an addition to the Shangri La's contemporary Café Cha, Shang Palace Chinese Restaurant, Nishimura Restaurant, and the vibrant Cloud Nine Bar.

Treat yourself and friends to specially prepared snacks and drinks, and soak in the ambience of the beautiful 3,000-sq.m landscaped garden, complete with "Koi" fish pond, Chinese pavilions and waterfalls, not to mention the lawn with more than 100 different species of flowers and trees that bloom in concert with the seasons.

With the facelift of the garden, the "Four Seasons" Pavilions - Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter are further enhanced.  Experience the elegant setting of the exclusive Spring Pavilion -- an authentic Chinese Pavilion, or the Winter Pavilion, decked with parasols and lounge chairs, an ideal spot to relax and soak in the splendor of the garden, or to use as a venue for private dinner and cocktail receptions for up to 50 guests.

Open: 4 p.m.-midnight
