Commune by the Great Wall Wins Montblanc Award

Commune by the Great Wall investor Ms. Zhang Xin has won the 2004 Montblanc Arts Patronage Award. She received the award from Lord Douro, Chairman of the Montblanc Cultural Foundation.

Co-CEO of SOHO China, famous for Jianwai SOHO, Commune by the Great Wall, Boao Canal Village and SOHO New Town, Zhang has said she views the worlds architecture from the shoulders of the talented people with whom she surrounds herself. She received 15,000 Euro which must be donated to the art cause of her choice, as well as a solid gold Montblanc Limited Edition  Patron of Art fountain pen, specially designed and crafted for the winners of the Montblanc Arts Patronage Award.

The Montblanc Cultural Foundation was established in 1992 to offer moral and financial support to those who promote the arts and the cultural development of society. Beijing This Month covered the Commune by the Great Wall including several spectacular pictures in our May issue (P20-23, Issue 126).
