The Legend of Barrage and Vagabond Tales

2004/05/01

Five to One Company's Barrage, founded in Calgary, Canada, in 1996, has literally been everywhere in the world! With their original show "A Violin Sings, A Fiddle Dances", a combination of classic and modern music with the elaborate dancing, Barrage's seven violinists, one guitar, one bass, one drummer and one percussionist have enchanted audiences around the globe.

Building on the success of this debut, their new show explores the whimsical world of the Vagabond. The Vagabond's story is one of enlightened freedom, self-discovery and fun. With a Magical Steamer Crate for inspiration, the international cast explores their eclectic repertoire while showcasing an impressive array of individual musical talents. The production transcends time and culture by weaving together music from many different eras and cultures creating a musical story of global scope. Every audience will be treated to a memorable show that combines unique choreography and colourful staging with stunning musical arrangements all presented with boundless energy and impressive technical precision.

Barrage's first China tour was successful, and thanks to Meet in Beijing, Beijingers will have the opportunity to witness their second China success story.
