New Tourism Attraction from Nepal

2004/03/01

Nepal Tourism Bureau (NTB) has been concentrating on the neighbouring regional markets of China, India, Thailand and Singapore for promoting tourism into the country. Chinese tourists to Nepal are provided free visas on arrival. Indeed there was a remarkable growth in the number of Chinese visitors to Nepal during the month of January 2004.

NTB staged a special photo exhibition at Swissotel, Beijing under the theme Many Faces of Nepal'in February. The promotional body, along with Royal Nepal Airlines, also led Nepal's participation at the World Travel Fair at Shanghai in February with two private tourism companies, Cox & Kings Nepal and Raaika Tours & Travels.

Nepal, a small kingdom located between India and China, has an astonishing diversity of sightseeing attractions in spite of its small geographical size. From the tallest mountain peak in the world to the thickest jungles in south Asia, from rich bio-diversity to exotic cultures, from spiritualism and meditation to the hustle and bustle of its centuries-old market places, Nepal never ceases to amaze all those who have visited.
