National Cultural Heritages on Show at Future Olympic Park

Chinese Ethnic Culture Park, the first cultural project in the Olympic Park, will exhibit china ethnic cultural heritages under the theme of people's Olympics. The park, China' largest museum and center of ethnic minorities'culture, has arranged for its exhibition to be in 16 parts, involving nine nationalities (Zang, Naxi, Bai, Dai, Miao, Wa, Tujia, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia), who will perform and exhibit their festival conventions, folk art, religion, cultural relics and etiquette.

Various ethnic cultural activities will be presented every year until 2008, the hope being to combine China's traditional culture and the Olympic spirit, and to reinforce the government' pledge of a" people's Olympics"
