Two-digit Increase in Urbanites Disposable Income

Figures from Beijing Municipal Statistical Bureau show that
urbanites'per-capita disposable income in the city achieved
two-digit growth in the first 10 months of this year. The
statistics also show that people's outlay on medical care,
transportation, communication (telephone etc.), housing,
education and cultural entertainment now accounts for more than
40 percent of their monthly consumption total.
Bureau officials remain hopeful that the city will see per
capita of US$6,000 GDP by 2008, and $10,000 by 2020.
