Air China Wings its Way to Thai Holiday Isle

December 3 will see Air China introduce new direct flights from Beijing to Phuket, Thailand, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The Boeing 767-200 trips will depart Beijing at 7.30pm, arriving at 1am Beijing time. Local travel agencies have welcomed the new service because holiday-makers heading for Phuket have long complained that the journey by air has to be broken. Phuket is located about 900km from Bangkok. At 400sq.k., it is Thailand's largest island.
