Capital's Real-estate Fairs Lure Outsiders
2002/08/01
In recent years, Beijing's real-estate fairs have witnessed
the promotion of an increasing number of properties from other
cities, according to China Daily. Last year, two hotels in
Qinhuangdao in northern China's Hebei Province were sold in
Beijing. And recently, models of the Shanghai Shimao Binjiang
Park and the No.1 Mansion in Shanghai Shimao Hubin Park, the
first ecologically smokeless town in China, were exhibited in
Beijing. More than 500 clients signed purchasing-intent
letters.
At the most recent exhibition of properties from Zhuhai in
southern China's Guangdong Province, 22 Zhuhai properties were
shown, many of which were sold. At Beijing's summer house fair,
also recently concluded, Golden Beach Park in Weihai, Shandong
Province, rented several booths.
Developers from outside the Chinese capital say the trend
for exhibiting such properties in Beijing is quite simply
ascribed to the huge potential of the city's real-estate
market.
