Its programs are unique and quite different from those currently available in China because courses are based on the latest research into how the human brain works and how it best learns. An 80-Twenty spokeswoman explained that, simply, the brain is split into two hemispheres, with the left half controlling language and logic while the right controls creativity and intuition. Most traditional children's education focuses on teaching the left half, leaving its counterpart underutilized. Research of "multiple intelligence" reveals that in addition to intelligence based on mathematics, logic and linguistics, there is also intelligence in music, "visual spatial" physical, naturalist, inter-personal and intra-personal matters. The main courses now available in Beijing include a SuperCamp program, intensive English (see separate article abut rapid learning) and drawing as inspired by the right hemisphere of the brain.
