'Big Efforts' Pledge by China's WTO Ambassador

Sun Zhenyu, China's first ambassador to the WTO, reported to work in Geneva on January 28, bringing China's membership of the body into formal operation. In his inauguration address, Sun promised to cooperate closely with representatives of other WTO countries, and make "big efforts" to help improve and strengthen the multilateral trade system.
