Green Heaven Food

2002/03/01

reen Heaven Food has enjoyed particular popularity over the past two years, even though prices here can be a little above average. But diners like the high quality of the vegetarian dishes and the quick service provided by knowledgeable waiters.

Much of the cuisine comprises "imitation meat", including listings such as Dongpo Pork Thigh and Squirrel Fish, made from soybeans' extract of scleroprotein. Offerings of this nature elevate the Green Heaven from the traditional Bean Curd Family, as it's known.

The other good news is that these "meat" dishes are of much higher nutritiional value than genuine meat. By and large, vegetable dishes are cleverly prepared to provide what tastes like meat. While patrons pay a bit more than usual for these in comparison with conventional vegetarian food, there are no complaints. Another plus for guests is that the restaurant also serves vegetarian cakes and veggie-based alcoholic drinks.
