Oriental Plaza's Malls Now Officially Open

The grand official opening of The Malls at Oriental Plaza has taken place at the Grand Hyatt Beijing Hotel, located inside the plaza � an event marked by the lighting of a Christmas tree and the attendance at the ceremony of representatives from each plaza store.

Dance performances were themed to the various products and services available in The Malls. Flamboyant Spanish dancers reflected holiday revelry, while other performers wore costumes decorated with jewelry, fruits and even electronic items such as CD-ROMs. Overall result: a vibrantly colorful occasion made even better by a finale parade in which Santa Claus led plaza tenants� "mascots" and guests from the hotel ballroom to the shopping malls. From then on, it was all about a joyous festive carnival.

Customers of Oriental Plaza's shops will be able to participate in a "Your Dream at The Malls� contest. Along with the chance of fulfilling their dream wish, they also stand to win other prizes such as a free night's stay at the plaza's luxury Tower Apartments, free meals at the Grand Hyatt Beijing and many other quality gifts.
