Featured at the exhibitions are many of China's best specimens and specimens of rare animals from foreign countries.

The World of Insects is in form of a large forest inhabited by larger-than-life models of insects. Visitors can read explanatory information. Among insects, the most attractive are specimens of butterflies, most of which are rare in China, South-east Asia and South America.

Animals at Night depicts four night scenes in forests, deserts and on beaches. The calls of more than 60 species of animal can be heard by visitors through earphones.
