Future Will See One-hour Travel Anywhere in City

Beijing municipal government's plan for three major communication systems will see them operating together to form the framework of inner-city communications. Among benefits will be one-way travel anywhere in the city within one hour, reports Beijing Youth Daily.
The three systems include the inner-city highway, main roads and the planned upgrading of streets in the city's central region. The inner-city highway system includes all ring roads and their connections, while the main-road system strongly supports highways.

Future plans include the removal of crossroads and traffic lights on ring roads, enabling drivers to reach any city destination within one hour.
