Face Up to Winter with New Cream

2001/01/01

The impending introduction to Beijing of a highly effective energizing morning facial and hand cream by French beauty specialists Clarins Paris is perfectly timed to help local women counteract the ravages of the winter months. This latest Clarins product will be available at SciTech and Lufthansa shopping centers and the Clarins Institute at The Palace Hotel shopping plaza.

The new cream is rich in vitamins, minerals and plant extracts, all essential for the maintenance of beautiful skin. It provides a very high concentration of vitamins, enhanced by specially selected fruit and vegetable extracts and minerals to boost the skin's vitality, thus giving it better protection from Beijing's polluted air, especially when very cold grit-laden winds are blowing. The fruit and vegetable extracts used include apple, pineapple, mushroom and carrot.

Winter is of particular concern to Beijing women, hence their constant search for creams and lotions that protect their facial skin in particular. Clarins?international training manager, Cecile Baron, told Beijing This Month: "The new energizing morning cream, which is an extra-firming skin supplement, contains a special oil that also removes toxins. China will be one of the first countries to receive the cream because we know of the problems faced by women here."

She said Clarins also markets anti-pollution creams and lotions for different skin types. These are applied after the face has been fully cleansed in warm water at night. "Women here have to be careful with the water they use, because it can contain a lot of mpurities," said Baron. "But proper cleansing is most important before our anti-pollutant creams and lotions are applied."
