First Animated TV Anchorman Bows In

2001/01/01

Bill Deng, destined to be the first animated anchorman to be seen in China, is all set to present himself to the audience of the TV program Scientific News Weekly.
Bill is smart, fashionable and pretty cool. His name reminds people of the likes of Bill Gates and Bill Clinton.

Doug Fraser, who gave the anchorman his name, said Bill should be proud of himself as the first animated anchorman to be seen on TV.

Scientific News Weekly is a Sino-Australian program which aims to popularize high-level science and technology to business people, students, other intelligentsia and those who show interest in this field. Filming of the series is now finished, and the first of the series?52 episodes will soon be screened.
